Freund was named Associate of the year for National Life in 1990, as well as the top producing agent for JP Morgan Chase in 2001. In August, 2006, he became an agency owner and has consistently achieved Honor Ring level for outstanding performance. In 2013, he qualified for Inner Circle, the highest level of achievement as an agency owner. His office is located in E. Setauket, NY. He received his Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Certificate in 2006. Freund has lived in Centereach for over 49 years. He and his wife Darlene have 4 children, and one grandchild. He graduated from Suffolk County Community College with an A.S. degree in Business Administration. He is currently the President of the Middle Country Chamber of Commerce, Board Member and coach for the Middle Country Children s Soccer Club, founding board member of the Middle Country Coalition for Smart Growth, and a former Vice President for the Centereach Civic Association. Freund was named 2006 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in Suffolk County s 4th Legislative District, and voted 2008 Man of the Year by the Times Beacon Newspaper. He has recently been recognized by the Middle Country Children s Soccer Club as well as the Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition for his outstanding record of volunteerism.
